Timaeus overview

At last — a single system that includes both eDC and a fully functional DM

Timaeus is more than an eDC system, more than a CDMS system and more than both added together. It has been designed with Investigator input (see Investigator wishes) and to support e-source. Timaeus has a brand new design and architecture, using some of the latest technology that has won praise for organizations such as Google and NASA. It is quite unlike other systems and has many advantages. It is a single system, built with a service-oriented architecture approach that enables different user interfaces to access the underlying system components.

What does this mean?

• Full enterprise CDMS capability, including auto medical coding, e-laboratory data loading, e-data loading via a separate eDM user interface.
• Fast, crisp, web-enabled interface for sites to enter data.
• Wireless, portable, eDC user interface run from an "appliance" that communicates automatically without investigator involvement.
• Other user interfaces expose only the functionality the end user needs to see, e.g. for trial configuration or administration.
• Rapid data exports, data snapshots, streaming into data warehouse etc.

Timaeus, therefore, opens up a whole new world of possibilities to conduct clinical trials, change processes, save money and improve data quality.
