Love a duck! Cmed win charity race!!

Written by Cmed

The annual Bega duck race in Timisoara, Romania, went off with a splash on Sunday 3rd September, as hundreds of rubber ducks took to the water and went beak-to-beak in some of the most intense racing ever seen across the river Bega.

Representing Cmed in the hotly contested “Sponsor Race” was Doctor Duck. Crowds cheered on as ten rubber ducks in a row bobbed down the river in the big race of the day, eagerly awaiting the winner with bated breath.

Weeks of intense training and hard work by the Cmed team paid off as he ducked and dived against the wind and current. He was no sitting duck as he quickly established a commanding lead! Battling against the elements, Doctor Duck paddled his way across the finish line to glory, leaving behind a few ruffled feathers.

As the crowds went wild for the Cmed champion, he didn’t duck the questions. After his victory, Doctor Duck said “I’m thrilled to have won - I’m floating on air”. He then went on to thank his Cmed team for helping sponsor and train him, adding “I couldn’t have done it without their support”.

Anca Irimia, Chief Cmed Duck trainer said “This was no lame duck event, though the real winners are the Odobescu children’s hospital”.

Cmed’s lucky duck is hoping to take a quack at some more events soon – so watch this space!
